StruCalc Pro lets you easily build, calculate, and visualize retaining walls in a seconds. Get on-demand adequacy reports and adjust your design on the fly. Customize a printable report that has everything you need. All of these features and more—just $79 a month.

Our Retaining Wall module allows you to customize many features of your design. Most of the available inputs can be divided into seven main sections:

General Properties

are where you define the basic features such as material, wall length, and global stress/load variables.

Stability Properties

allow you to define the limits and tolerances of your design, and are used to determine adequacy ratings after calculation.

Stem Properties

allow you to specify the design & reinforcement options of your stem wall(s). You can add multiple stems, each with unique and independent properties. For example, you can create a sloped stem using the toe / heel batter input which adjusts the thickness of your stem wall at its base.

Footing Properties

contain the options related to the geometry (size and shape), reinforcement (rebar sizes and placement), and material (compressive strength, density mixture, unit weight in pcf, and max aggregate size) of your design’s footing.

Backfill Properties

describe the characteristics of the soil behind the retaining wall, including its slope, soil type, water table, and more.

Embedment Properties

allow you to configure the depth of your design and the properties of the soil into which it is embedded.

Loading Properties

allow you to define your own loads with custom parameters, or let StruCalc automatically populate loads to be analyzed as a reference. Supports the following loads: Point Axial, Point Shear, Uniform Lateral, Trapezoidal Lateral, Point Moment, and Surcharge.

After calculating your retaining wall, a multitude of information becomes available to you:

Adequacy percentages

are a quick way to evaluate your design’s strengths and weaknesses.

VMD diagrams

show you how your stem design will handle a load being applied to it.

Stability limits

lets you test your design against increasingly stressful loads and see the results in real & time manually edit the loads you have already defined.

Takeoff Data

gives you an estimate of how much material will be used, and allows you to input your local material prices and be given estimates in return.

Customizable print report

lets you include exactly what you need in your analyses.
